MI40 to be simulated in background

Hi,

I have a requirement where same logic as done by transaction MI40 has to be performed.

Is there a way I can execute this transaction in background?

The requirement is:

-> get data from some external application like batch no., quantity,plant,variance etc.

-> perform inventory count using this data (similar to MKI10 in foreground).
